This Singer machine still sews a fine line at 101 years of age. Both the machine and the cabinet appear to be in original well cared for condition. The foot treadle still operates smoothly and the machine stitches away without any stickiness or jamming up. There are some spare needles, and bobbins, and even a working lamp with the original adapter made to fit this model. The cabinet drawers have all their original pulls, the doors all close tight and there is a nice untouched patina to the oak cabinet.
For you Singer machine collectors: the machine serial # is G5579471, model 115, manufactured in July, 1917. The Drawing Room Cabinet is model #22. My research shows an exact same machine with a model # 21 cabinet selling for $527 in November 2017 on the Internet...for a non-working machine.
