for sale. a pair of 1979 AMX's. There were 52714 spirits built in 1979. Of that 2902 AMX's were built with only 1012 being v8's. The first is a 47000 original kilometer nearly rust free car. Was a V8, auto. Presently no motor or tranny. Many options including factory sunroof. The other is a V8 4speed car. Did run well. Is also very well optioned including factory sunroof and tilt wheel. Prior to starting rust repair I removed fenders, gas tank, grill, facia, bumpers, taillights, rear facia and all interior panels. Rust consists of front lower rocker panels, rear edge of trunk pan, drivers panel behind headlight, gusset plate to firewall on drivers side, and the famous seam by front springs. If you know these cars you know what I mean. Repairing this area means cleaning, some metal repair and bolting the sections together followed by sealing the edges. Includes an absolute 'massive' amount of parts that will fix both cars including most rust repairs. I have around $7300 all in. Make me an offer for both cars and all parts. I will not sell the rust free car by itself. I will sell the rustier one by itself for $2500 and include everything to put it back together including fixing most rust repairs. But by buying everything also includes all the flares and spoilers. Buying the rustier one includes some flares but no front spoiler. I would suggest to the potential buyer who buys all the parts and both cars to make a fiberglass replica of the front spoiler for durability. Both cars need to towed of course.
