She has been a faithful re-location companion to me over the past few years, and I drove her up until I left for Toronto in August, where I am now. The car is currently at my parents in Qualicum and my dad can help you with it/sell it to you if you want it--he has all the papers). I'm just selling it because I won't need it out here.
She runs fine, but as she's an old gal and has quite a few kilometres on her, she will of course need work to keep going. That said, I've never had trouble starting or anything, and at the moment the car drives perfectly fine.
I had the car assessed this summer (July), and the guy who looked it over, who has done lots of work on Volkswagens, seemed to think it was worth $1000-$1500 as a project or parts car. Here's what I know it needs:
- Immediately: an oil change, and brakes done soon.
- Eventually: some work to do with the wheels or tires...I'm sorry, I can't remember the specifics.
If you want to take it for a test drive you'll just need to put one day's insurance on it.
I'd really like to just get it out of my parents driveway at this point, so $1000 OBO! Let me know if you'd like to take a look!
